Young Thoughts about Tellus

‘Scandinavia’ was the third milestone in project ‘Young Thoughts about Tellus’ initiated by TellusArt.
Children and youth from about 1000 schools in Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway) were invited to send in their paintings and drawings on Global Warming, Nature and Environment.
40 Artists from India, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway participated in the exhibition and workshop.


About 200 artworks by children and youth from the Indian Subcontinent and Scandnavia were exhibited

Artwork (Paintings, installations and photographs) by 40 artists from India and Scandinavia were displayed alongside.

Art Workshop on Global Warming was jointly held for Scandinavian and Indian artists. The workshop was open to the public and visitors were free to ask questions and interact with the artists.

A creative session for children and youth with senior artists was held on 23rd and 24th August.

Dr. Mike Pandey, internationally acclaimed filmmaker and conservationist, recipient of Green Oscars and the prestigious ‘Golden Giraffe’, was one of the key speakers, along with Ambassador of India to Sweden, Mr. Balakrishna Shetty, representatives from the Finnish and Danish embassies, Greanpeace and Natural History Museum, Stockholm.

A one day workshop was held at Malmsjo school, Botkyrka Commun where representative children and teachers from 20 schools participated. Films by Dr. Mike Pandey were screened. Children and teachers got an opportunity to interact directly with Dr. Mike Pandey. They also painted together with professional artists from India and Scandinavia to reinforce their learning.
