About The Artist

Nisha is an ardent nature lover, loves to paint various moods of mother earth, including the divers moods of GOD’s most precious creation - human. She works on both the positive and the negative aspect of nature.

From the last 15 years Nisha has been painting and reflecting our contemporary society with different modes of painting. Generally she paints in abstract and according to her; she tries to connect this mortal world with the Supreme Delight. She believes that everything starts from it in the form of DOT and ends in form of DOT. In her art works, , you can find the various shades of happiness by way of sparkling and vibrant colors and sometimes a streak of sorrow and despair with the use of dull and gloomy colors presenting assorted moods of human beings, beautifully articulated by her.

Beginning as a student at Banasthali Vidyapith- India, she created lino-cut paintings and further transformed them very technically for the additional experiments. Since then, she has been presenting her work in lino-cuts, woodcuts, etching, drawings, installations and canvas paintings.

 

She has won various State and National Awards. She has performed in various Solo and Group Shows, presently working as an artist with high profile galleries in India, Stockholm and Copenhagen. She has participated in various Art Camps of print making and paintings at National and International level.  

The collections of her works are in Australia, Canada, Japan (Kochi), Denmark, Sweden, India, (Lucknow, Jaipur, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Bharat Bhawan- Bhopal and New Delhi & in many private Collection).

The artist is presently living and working as a freelance artist in Stockholm.
